When you use our website, limited technical information may also be collected through cookies, consent-management tools, security systems, and analytics technologies that are enabled on the site.
3. Why we collect and use personal information
We collect and use personal information only for reasonable purposes related to our operations, including to respond to inquiries, provide agreed bookkeeping and tax-preparation services, organize accounting records, support payroll and accounting systems, communicate with clients, prepare or support filings, maintain business and tax records, process payments where applicable, protect our systems, meet legal and regulatory obligations, and improve our website and services.

Where required, we obtain consent appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the information. 6. Service providers and processing outside Canada
We use third-party service providers to support communications and website operations. These include Google services (including Gmail) and Meta services (including WhatsApp Business). These providers are based in the United States and may process or store information in the United States and other jurisdictions in which they or their service providers operate. Personal information handled outside Canada may be subject to the laws and lawful access requirements of those jurisdictions.
Our website is hosted by Web Hosting Canada (WHC) on a shared Web Pro hosting plan in Canada. Depending on the engagement, this may include disclosures to government authorities such as the Canada Revenue Agency when authorized or required for the agreed service.
9. Safeguards
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we handle. Measures may include access controls, passwords, multi-factor authentication where available, device security, software updates, backups, and procedures intended to reduce unauthorized access, use, disclosure, loss, or destruction.
No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Retention and secure disposal
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to meet applicable legal, tax, accounting, contractual, and business requirements. Certain tax and accounting records may need to be retained for at least six years or longer depending on the type of record and the applicable legal requirement. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely destroy or anonymize it.
11. Access and correction
Subject to applicable law and permitted exceptions, you may request access to personal information under our control and ask that inaccurate or incomplete information be corrected. Requests should be sent to the Privacy Officer using the contact information above. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
12. Privacy incidents and breaches
If we become aware of a loss of, unauthorized access to, or unauthorized disclosure of personal information, we will take reasonable steps to contain and assess the incident.
